Are you looking for the perfect summer wines to share with all your friends and family visiting Sonoma County this season!? Look no further, we have just what you need! We are going to give you the inside scoop on some of our FAVORITE wines that are perfect for enjoying on a hot summer day or a warm summer night. We have so many beautiful wines that we know you guys would love, so we made it easy for you to pick and narrowed it down to 4 amazing wines. 

The first wine we picked for you guys to enjoy and share is our Grand Cuvee Sparkling Wine. This beautiful crisp and smooth California bubbly  was creating using selected premium varietal wines. Its delicate, fruit forward style is perfect to accompany some small light bites and appetizers to start the night off right! This is also our first choice for all of those summer brunches - can you say “Mimosa’s, please!”

Next we have one of our team favorites, the 2017 Trentadue Rosato di Sangiovese. This is one of our absolute Summer favorites because of all the refreshing sweet fruit flavors that you can pick up on. Guava, peach, watermelon and apricot really shine through in this wine with bright acidity and a delicate sweetness. The best part about this wine is that it is easy drinking and perfect with or without food! Serves perfectly to your guests while they wait for the main course!

The next two wines we are sharing with you are very special to us. They are apart of our brand new OPR Wines by Trentadue. “Old Patch” blocks of pre-prohibition era vines in Alexander Valley were the original source for Trentadue Winery’s OPR. The new label represents our strong family history and the power of blending distinct lots of the varietals you love! 

The 2017 OPR Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful crisp 100% unoaked Sauvignon Blanc. This is the perfect wine for the hot summer days when you can’t wait to jump into the pool that you don’t even have! The flavor profile on this one is full of citrus, apricot, melon and green apples. It has a fabulous balance of citrus and minerality and was aged “sur lie” (on the lees) for about 5 months for that complexity and rich mouth feel you will experience!

The 2016 OPR Red is a delicious red blend with predominantly Zinfandel grapes that have been blended with Petite Sirah and Carignane, leaving you with a fruity, complex, full-bodied Rhone style wine. This bottle, we have picked because it is perfect to enjoy now, or you can lay it down to age for 2-5 years for pure excellence.
