Our Malbec is one of the youngest blocks on the Estate planted in 2016, located at the Independence Lane Exit of HW 101. That section of the property has the best soils of the Estate. Malbec is one of the 5 major Bordeaux varieties in France also widely planted in Argentina and Chile. The variety is known for great color, lower acidity, and low tannin content. 2021 was the first crop from the young vines limited to one cluster per cane. The wine is dark red, showing off intense blue berry and cassis aromas with a hint of mint and earthy minerality. The mouthfeel is very soft and rich for a young wine with low acidity that makes the finish long and lush. Drink now or hold for another 2-5 years.
