This vintage is unique because the blend has a large percentage of Montepulciano from our new 1.5 acre vineyard. The 2015 vintage produced wines with dark red color, bright fruit and firm acidity and well-structured tannins destined to age well. The 2015 Cuvee 32 has intense cherry/cassis aromas contributed by the Sangiovese followed by deeper red fruit aromas of plums, blueberry and a hint of pomegranate. Typical for the blend is an enticing mixture of herbs and spices making the wine particularly enjoyable with Italian style food.
This wine is dark purple in color, very attractive with intense blueberry and blackberry aromas, slighty smokey with hints of maple and brown sugar.
The main aromas and flavors are of dark cherry, blumps and a bit of black licorice. The new oak barrels contribute a touch of vanilla, brown sugar, cocoa dust and toast.
Our 2016 La Storia Cab has a dense ruby-purple color followed by abundant varietal aromas and flavors of blueberries, blackberry and black licorice with hint of herbs and ripe olives. The predominately French oak aging contributes aromas of vanilla, cocoa dust and slight toast. The mouth feel is medium dense, fresh and juicy with balanced acidy and very soft tannins for a young wine. The alcohol content is balanced and the acidity is relatively high suggesting excellent longevity for this wine. Drink now or age for 5-7 years.
Our 2018 Chardonnay has a typical for the variety and the style aromas of tropical fruits, ripe apples, peaches and apricots. Further aeration reveals deeper aromas of toast with a touch of caramel and ripe Mayer lemons meringue and a bit of minerality. The mouth feel is generous and rich, with tamed acidity and long and round finish. Drink now, through 2025. Cheers!
Our 2014 Leo's Pride is a Commemerative Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon honoring the late Leo Trentadue. The conceptional Lion's head on the label is a link to the more than doezen lion sculptures on the Estate.
This very rare and incredibly limited wine is being initially released only to Trentadue Wine Club members.
The wine is bright and lively with concentrated “Zin” aromas of dark cherry, blueberry and plums and some of the typical raisins aromas. The fine oak barrel aging brings in subtle aromas of vanilla, maple, cinnamon and slight toast and smokiness. The mouth feel is solid, with medium to full body and very soft and elegant tannins that accentuate the wine’s long and juicy finish with lively acidity.
