2014 La Storia Cuvee 32

Our 2014 Cuvee 32 is the 17th vintage of this blend for Trentadue Winery. In retrospect, our “Super Tuscan” blend has been very successful and is consistently our top selling wine in the Tasting Room. Although the blend changes slightly year to year, the quality has been consistent due our Estate fruit. This wine has intense cherry/cassis aromas followed by deeper red fruit aromas of plums, blueberries and a hint of pomegranate. Typical for the blend is an enticing mixture of herbs and spices, making the wine particularly enjoyable with Italian-style food. With more air, the wine shows more complex, yet still developing, aromas of cocoa, cinnamon, leather and black licorice. The mouth feel is medium to full with relatively high, food friendly acidity and a long fresh finish. Drink now through 2021.

2015 La Storia Zinfandel AV

The 2015 La Storia Zinfandel is bright and lively with concentrated “Zini” aromas with predominant dark cherry, blueberry and plums and some of the typical raisins aromas. The fine oak barrel aging brings in subtle aromas of vanilla, brown sugar and slight toast and smokiness. The mouth feel is solid, with medium to full body and very soft and elegant tannins that accentuate the wine’s long and juicy finish with lively acidity. The wine is delicious now but with some patience and proper aging in 2-5 years it will be even better.

2014 La Storia Merlot

The 2014 growing season was nearly perfect and very similar to the great 2012 and 2013 seasons, delivering bright and fruity aromas and deep dark color with a bit higher than normal acidity suggesting better affinity with food. The main aromas and flavors are of dark cherry, plums, a bit of black licorice and herbs. The new oak barrels contribute a touch of vanilla, brown sugar, cocoa dust and toast. On the mouth the wine is almost heavy but balancing the acidity and the tannins well for such a young wine.

2014 La Storia Petite Sirah 750

This wine is a beautiful blend of Petite Sirah,Zinfandel, Carignane and Syrah. The wine has a very dark, opaque color, a beautiful nose of concentrated blueberries and blackberries that leads to a full body mouth feel with engagingly soft tannins. After short aeration, the nose opens up with the addition of cocoa and slight earthiness, followed by brown sugar and a touch of vanilla. Overall, the aromas are of fresh dark fruit and is very attractive. This wine will definitely age well and if stored properly will give you the most enjoyment in 5-8 years.
