Meet the Staff

COOPER HENDERSON Cooper Head Shot
Chief Operating Officer/Director of Sales

Cooper Henderson is our Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Sales, overseeing all winery operations, in addition to managing all outside sales. He works closely with the department heads and the family, helping guide the winery and vineyards forward while maintaining the integrity the Trentadue Family has instilled over the past half-century.

He has been a part of the Trentadue team since 2002 when he was a green California State University Fresno graduate armed with a viticulture degree, trying to break into the wine industry. His unorthodox path to his current position began in the vineyards, where he worked closely with Victor Trentadue and the vineyard crews of Trentadue and Four Seasons Vineyard Management. In 2005, he transitioned part of his winery duties to assisting the National Sales Director on the west coast, but maintained his vineyard responsibilities. He eventually was promoted to National Sales Manager, concentrating on improving and managing Trentadue’s domestic and international wholesale network. In 2012 he acquired responsibilities on the operations of the winery and in 2013 we asked him to oversee the entire operation.

Cooper lives in his hometown of Ukiah with his wife Kelly and their two daughters; Harper and Maggie. Striving to maintain a decent golf game with the four to five rounds he is able to fit in per year with two young daughters, his interests include cooking (buying cookware and gadgets), camping and enjoying time with their large extended family and friends.

It has been extremely satisfying watching Cooper grow into his current position and evolve from a fresh faced college graduate looking to make his mark to a key member of our management team, up for any challenge we throw at him.

MIRO TCHOLAKOV Miro Head Shot
Vice President/Director of Winemaking Operations

Miro Tcholakov is our Vice President and Director of Winemaking Operations, overseeing all aspects of winemaking; including custom crush and bottling. Chiefly responsible for reinvigorating the Trentadue brand when he came aboard in 1999, Miro has worked tirelessly to take our wines to a new level of quality and prestige.

Born and raised in northern Bulgaria, a region with many millennia of winemaking history, he was exposed to wine and winemaking at a very early age. At his grandfather’s side, he learned how to make wine in the tradition of the generations that came before him. The combination of Miro’s early exposure to winemaking, years of study and experience, and passion for the art makes him a vital part of our winery family.

“Making wine has been a lifelong dream of mine. After completing my studies in 1990 at the higher Institute of Agriculture in Bulgaria in Agronomy/Viticulture, I traveled to California on an Exchange program in wine business. I continued my education by attending Santa Rosa Junior College and UC Davis, focusing on specific courses in Winemaking and management. My internship started at Dry Creek Vineyards in the summer of 1990 and in nine years of employment, I transitioned through the ranks of Cellar Master and Assistant Winemaker. It was during this time that I fell in love with two distinctively California varietals; Zinfandel and especially Petite Sirah.

I decided to move on and start my career as a head winemaker, accepting an offer from Trentadue Winery in 1999 to take over their winemaking operation. That new opportunity added to my excitement about Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, which have been two long standing staple varietals at Trentadue.

My passionate love affair with Zin and Petite Sirah lead to my election to the Board of Directors of ZAP (Zinfandel Advocates and Producers) and also to the Board of Directors and currently the President of PS(Petite Sirah) I Love you-a nonprofit organization that I helped establish 13 years ago.”

MARYANN PELLEGRINI, ControllerMaryann Head Shot

Maryann Pellegrini is our Controller at Trentadue Winery, whose wide ranging responsibilities include financial planning, cash flow forecasting, department budgets, accounting, AR/AP, payroll and taxes. Her duties expand further as she is a tremendous support system for all winery departments, most importantly Wholesale Sales.

No stranger to agriculture, Maryann grew up in a multigenerational Central Valley family farming operation that primarily grew row crops. At a young age Maryann was required to help on the farm and that is when her passion for agriculture began to develop. She spent some time driving tractors and was also put to work in the office where she learned to reconcile bank accounts, enter and pay bills, and complete payroll… all before graduating from high school. This is where Maryann first realized that business finance is what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.  After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2009, with a double major; Bachelor of Science degrees in Agricultural Business and Agricultural Science, Maryann began her career as an Accounting Assistant for a Central Valley farming operation similar to the one her family owns. Fate brought her to Sonoma County and to Trentadue Winery in 2010, when was hired as our Accounting Manager. She quickly was promoted to our Controller and has been an invaluable asset to our team ever since.

Maryann has quickly put down roots in the area, purchasing a home in Santa Rosa with her husband, Marco Pellegrini. The two were married at Trentadue Winery in June 2014!

ROYALENE MANCINI, Tasting Room Manager Royalene Head Shot

Royalene Mancini is the Tasting Room Manager at Trentadue Winery, supervising all Direct to Consumer sales. She brings extensive experience in hospitality management to Trentadue, where she has flourished since joining our staff in 2010. Her background includes management positions with wineries such as Chateau Souverain, Landmark and Rosenblum Cellars, and has widespread experience with event production.

A native Californian, she grew up in a family ranching business in Central California, then attended UCLA where she focused her studies in Health Sciences. As difficult as it was to leave the beaches of Southern California she pursued a career (totally alien to her education), with a well-known artist in the ceramics industry, based out of Healdsburg. Falling in love with Healdsburg - known as the “burg” back then –she decided to stay on.

She is a beloved member of our management team, and says that the favorite part of her position is working with her fellow employees. “It is a pleasure coming to work every day, we have a lot of fun and the surroundings aren’t bad either!” She is a professional entertainer and head chef of our Trentadue Winery Kitchen, sharing with us her knowledge of superior ingredients and recipes dating back generations or those she has created in her own kitchen. Gardening, cycling and fine dining take up a lot of her “down time” now that her daughter is away at OSU, where her studies are in Public Health & Human Sciences.
