TASTING NOTES

Trentadue Winery has a long tradition in making Petite Sirah and through the years has become one of the top producers of this California grape. With the majority of our Geyserville Estate fruit crushed for our La Storia bottling, this vintage is our first non- Estate Petite Sirah. The greater part of the grapes used for this wine came from an old vineyard in Mendocino County’s Redwood Valley. The remainder is from the red soils and high elevation of Lake County and our Estate in Alexander Valley. This is a fruity wine showing intense blueberry, blackberry and plum aromas distinct for Petite Sirah. The color is intense dark purple, suggesting deep extraction and full body with a viscous, long and juicy finish. This wine is very drinkable now, but it’s solid and well structured tannins, should allow for gracefull aging for the next 5 to 7 years.
