TASTING NOTES

This is the third year that we have bottled varietals specifically for our faithful Wine Club members. The 05 Sangiovese is a 100% and once again from our 37 year old block 601. The flavor profile has been very consistent the last few vintages - Asian spices, dried cranberries, cherries and hint of dried rose petals. Further aeration reveals a suggestion of forest floor, dust and minerals. The mouth feel is typical for Sangiovese - with refreshing acidity, soft tannins, light to medium weight and slightly sweet finish. Sangiovese is one of the most food friendly and versatile wines capable of matching and enhancing many types of cuisines. Drink now or age for another 2-4 years.

Fermentation: Yeast-BM -45; Fermented in stainless steel for 15 days

Barrel Aging: 17 months in 15% new oak barrels, the rest in neutral oak
